I need some help!

The last couple of days my girls have not been that excited about lunch time because the options are very limited. Soooo does anyone have any ideas/reciepes of something different to serve my boried children besides the regular pb and j, mac and cheese, and chicken nuggets! HHHHEEEELLLPPP!

K first...love your new look...cuuute!
second...i'll be emailing you about the bachelor later on today.

and third...we get stuck in ruts as well around here. but here's some ideas:
I use a star, heart or flower cookie cutter and make a turkey sandwhich, then cut the shape out of the bread. Ella for some reason will eat the sandwich if it's a star shape and NOT sandwhich shaped. She get a little yogurt with it and some sliced apples with peanut butter to dip her apples into or nutella.

I scrub clean and then cut up a few potatoes, drizzle them with olive oil and sprinkle season all on them, put them on a baking sheet and cook them at 375 for 15 minutes. They are way healthier than fast food fries and yummy. Ketchup for dipping, banana circles, and ham cubes (the ones that are on cobb salad), or chicken strips that I cook in a frying pan with lemon pepper seasoning while the potatoes are cooking.

I aslo have on hand chunks of the precooked chicken (you can find them by the lunch meat). I make a quesadilla on a mini wheat tortilla and put chicken in it. Then I mix sour cream and salsa for their dipping sauce. Grapes for their fruit.

You're lucky your kids will eat pb and j, and hot dogs...my kids won't even try a bite of them! I have to get a little creative to get them to eat! hope these help...i have a ton more if you need them!

Like Erica said, we do the quesadilla thing a lot at our house. Also, how in the world could you forget about red mac? Emma has also been into tuna fish. I put apple, grated cheese, and just a tiny bit of mayo in it. She eats it with crackers instead of bread a lot of the time. Serving the mini bagels with cream cheese and some cut fruit and veggies is fun too. My kids are also huge tortilla fans so I make wraps for them with deli meat and stuff instead of just boring old bread. Soup is always fun too - Campbells makes chicken noodle with Dora, Cars, star shaped noodles - you name it.

Anyway, hope this helps. I also like your new template. Wasn't that the best site?

Sometimes if I make the normal stuff look different they will eat it better. Just like Erica said. I am also in a rut, I could care less about food, nothing sounds good to me so my poor kids are the brunt of that. Good luck and I too hope to find some good ideas. I like the template you found too.

Oh yeah - a little unhealthy but fun for the kids. Frozen taquitos dipped in salsa and corn dogs!
